PACESETTERS JUMPSTART 2013 UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN

Each year, a group of high-performance businesses take on the challenge to jumpstart United Way's annual campaign by becoming a Pacesetter. These organizations set the standard for leadership and community support by locking in their increased campaign donations during the early campaign months of September and October.

Six companies, recognized as Pacesetters, have already combined to raise nearly $182,000.  This includes $21,000 in new dollars and gets the campaign off to a successful start of its 2013 goal of $1.35 million.  The following finalized results have been reported:

·         DACO Precision - Tool, 30% increase

·         Family Center of Washington County, 9% increase

·         Glacier Hills Credit Union, 70% increase

·         Kettle Moraine YMCA, 181% increase

·         R&R Insurance Companies, 11% increase

·         West Bend Mutual Insurance Company, 10% increase, over $14,000 in new dollars alone from their employee campaign

“We applaud the success of the Pacesetter Campaign organizations. They are truly leading the way in helping others in our local community and are models for others to follow.  We hope their success will inspire others to get involved by running an employee campaign and/or give a corporate gift.  Every gift small and large (United) will accomplish more than any single gift can on its own.  We will continue to focus on the positive momentum generated by the Pacesetters as we near the mid-point of our campaign,” states Kristin Brandner, Executive Director of United Way of Washington County.
