With a “never quit” attitude, the 2025 United Way of Washington County Emerging Leaders Alumni chair team closed out the 2025 Campaign $42 ahead of last year’s campaign, for a grand total of $1,902,295.
“In mid-January, we knew we were facing a $70,000 shortfall and that without additional investment, our local nonprofits would receive reduced funding,” said Maggie Jensen, 2025 campaign co-chair.
In 10 days, Washington County corporations, small businesses and individual donors heeded the call and helped close the gap. A special thank you to Pick Heaters and Horicon Bank for igniting those efforts and challenging others to match and give.
“At a time when many of our nonprofit agencies are already facing reduced state and federal funding, it was especially gratifying to see our community unite and rise to this challenge,” said Andrew Haass, 2025 campaign co-chair.
“We’re thrilled to report that our agency partners will receive their full United Way funding so they can continue offering food, housing support, mental health services, and more to our most vulnerable neighbors,” said Sarah Stadler, 2025 campaign co-chair.
United Way’s work is made possible through the generous support of our donors and partners. We extend special thanks to our Leaderboard achievers, those organizations who give $10,000 or more. Our Leaderboard forms the foundation of our campaign.

“I could not be more proud of this chair team,” said Kristin Brandner, CEO of United Way of Washington County. “The fundraising environment is incredibly challenging right now, but they were determined to do everything they could until the very end.”
“This year’s campaign success reflects the commitment of Washington County businesses and residents to always show up for each other,” said Casie Meyers, 2025 campaign co-chair. We are so grateful to the donors and volunteers who made this possible. Every single donation large and small mattered.”
